Descenders will join the Xbox Game Preview program “in the next several months,” according to publisher No More Robots, as a console exclusive for Xbox One players—at least for now. No More Robots that it was also in talks with Sony and Nintendo to bring Descenders to consoles, but those releases could be on hold until Descenders gets a full release. (We’ve reached out to the publisher for clarification on the nature of the game’s exclusivity and will update this post if we hear back.) Along with the announcement, No More Robots’ Mike Rose described how some of Descenders‘ more mysterious systems will work. When the game was initially revealed, crashes were described as having “real consequences.” It turns out that those consequences have to do with your Rep points, which pool in the game’s overarching team meta game (sort of like For Honor‘s meta game, if you’re familiar with Ubisoft’s fighter). The winning team at the end of each season will earn exclusive gear and bikes.
